Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity or Resumption Policy

Establish a disaster recovery policy covering potential disasters and describes what staff must do and who they must notify in the event of a disaster. The policy should also indicate where back-up records will be stored or maintained. Ensure the policy includes business continuity and resumption procedures during failures affecting telecommunications networks, telephone lines, power grids, and water and sanitation systems.
